Summary
Martin just barely manages to flick the lights on in his flat before Tim trips over his own feet, nearly pulling them both down through the doorway.
“Whoa, hey,” he starts, but Tim is already giggling “Sorry, sorry,” and Martin doesn’t want to wait to see if he’ll be able to make it anywhere else on his own.
“How are you feeling?” he says, hoisting him up where he’s got his arm under him. “Gonna throw up? Because if so you’re going sit next to the toilet, I am not cleaning sick out of the carpet.”
Tim shakes his head, then pauses, then shrugs. “Maybe. Don’t want to though, that would be super unattractive.”

Summary
Of course, lying alone in Tim’s bed, surrounded by Tim’s smell, thinking about him lying there every other night and lying alone on the couch tonight, was not a great recipe to put Jon to sleep.
Not that Tim’s smell couldn’t be relaxing. God knows he was a grounding presence for him pretty much constantly nowadays. But it was different, like this, when all Jon could think about was the fact that at night, it became a dozen times harder for him to deny the way Tim made him feel, and the fact that the bed was definitely big enough for two.

“Hey, it’s not like reception is exactly thrilling,” Rosie says. “and if the way I pass the time involves imagining getting certain people bent over my paperwork, it’s perfectly reasonable to follow through with that when the opportunity presents itself.”
“You’re a madwoman.”
“Oh, come on. It was before anyone else got here and there’s no cameras. You’re telling me it’s not hot?”
Sasha considers it. The image of Rosie, whispering into someone’s shoulder, her firm hand working them over, their whines and gasps echoing throughout the dark and empty Institute, is...
“It’s—yeah,” she says eloquently. “It’s hot.”
Rosie smiles.

Summary
It’s not like he hadn’t expected them to go home together. They really were the least subtle people on the face of the planet.
However.
It was all a bit pointed, wasn’t it. Martin bringing up the fact that they were both sleeping with Tim, and then Jon leaving a visible bruise on him just a few days later. Martin understood a claim when he saw one.

Summary
Jon eyes him, visibly wary of his chippy tone, the way he leans in close. “Why does that matter? It’s never seemed to bother you before.”
He shrugs. “I just thought you might want to make things easier for Martin, right?”
A blush instantly rises to Jon’s cheeks at Martin’s name, which he then immediately scowls over. Tim allows himself a grin as Jon haughtily turns back to his laptop. “I’ll organize them however I find most fitting, Tim.”

Summary
"You wouldn't go so far as to call it cuddling. Cuddling would imply affection, or at the very least necessity, a desire to drive away the cold. This is neither of those things. You tear into each other's space like teeth, Jon's shoulder a knife jammed into your ribs, your arm a noose looped around his neck. There is no warmth in your intimacy."

Summary
“You still hate him,” Georgie said, folding her arms. “Unbelievable.”
“I don’t hate him,” Jon protested. “I - I hardly think of him.”
Except for last night, when Jon had fallen asleep reading through the published poetry of one M. K. Blackwood. And the night before that. And, if Jon is being honest with himself, the night before that.

Summary
To be fair to Sasha and her “snooping”, she doesn’t just want to work out why Martin fills out his forms with so little regard for academic protocol. The man’s sweet, and apparently perfectly friendly, and his tea is to die for. He just won’t talk to her, not really, won’t socialise much in the office at all and when he does it’s scattered and nervous, and Sasha’s used to people claiming she’s “intimidating”, too tall and too tenacious for half the academics she meets, but Martin doesn’t seem like that sort of arsehole. His nerves apply to Jon as much as they do to her, and he seems like he could use another friend with some archival experience. More than anything, Martin Blackwood is someone she’d like to understand.
It turns out I'm just very invested in the concept of Martin and Sasha being friends before it all went to shit
