    Kronos was a sore loser.

    When most people lost a fight, they sulked for a bit, maybe burst into golden monster dust if you were particularly lucky, or just started trying to kill you again if you weren’t.

    They did not, in Percy’s (quite considerable, he likes to think) experience, start glowing so brightly that it felt like your retinas would never recover before knocking you sound unconscious.

    (When you're thrown back in time after defeating Kronos only to have to defeat Kronos for the second time. Percy's life is kind of a cosmic joke.)

She was impossibly out of his league and honestly, the type of attractive that felt sort of illegal. Like, he shouldn’t even have the right to look at her. Full red lips that just begged to be touched and wide grey eyes.

    Her gaze locked on bright sea green eyes and her breath stuttered for a moment. Obscured by a wall in the back, a boy with unruly locks and enviously long lashes, sat straighter in his seat. He looked flawless with high cheek bones and a sharp jaw that could cut glass. He was new, but she liked what she saw.
