Summary
“Can I help you?” Chuuya said, not moving from his position or even putting down his phone. (Just because he has to look over the store today doesn’t mean he has to be employee of the month).
Dazai pursed his lips. “I .. had a hold on a Centennial copy of Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises but I can’t find it in the back.”
“The century copy of who now?”
Dazai’s silent groan from earlier came back as an internal scream.

Bookmarker's Notes
I have read so much soukoku in the last few months and my favorite fic of all time is one that I like mostly because of the narrator, the many book and literary references and STEM Major jokes. My English Major was flourishing in the about 24 hours it took me to read this (I’m a very slow reader which feels like a big fuck u from God, it makes uni reading so excruciatingly long and unlike Dazai‘s university‘s literature classes, I had to read pretty much only non-fiction texts for classes which, AGAIN, fucking sucks)
When do I get my aesthetic literature classes in which we just read jane austen and emily dickens and just discuss these books all day. WHY DO I HAVE TO READ 100 PAGES OF FREUDIAN PSYCHOANALYSIS FROM THE INVENTOR OF MOMMY ISSUES HIMSELF. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!? -

Summary
Kiyoomi is a talented musician who has lost his passion after dedicating himself to the industry for six years. Now two years later, he’s reclusive and at an all-time low. No matter how much he wants to make what once flowed through him like blood, he just can’t. When he meets Miya Atsumu, it’s then that it begins to make sense. Atsumu shows him how to open up his heart and love again, to reignite the passion he once held for music.
---
“The music— nothing sounds right. Does that make sense?”
“That just means ya ain’t listenin’ close enough.”
“To what?”
“The music!”
“That makes no sense.”
