Summary
El Mayarah. Her family’s motto. Stronger together. But how was she supposed to be stronger together when she was alone?
She was trying. Every day, she tried. She made the effort to get up, to face her life with as much grace as she could. She was one of the last survivors of her people, potentially the last, and she wouldn’t dishonor her people’s memory, her family’s memory, by giving up. She wouldn’t fail her parents, wouldn’t give up until her last promise to them was fulfilled.
Kara Zor-El arrives on an Earth where Superman doesn't exist. Without anyone to intercept her crashed pod, Kara is found and captured by the government. Twelve years later, her last promise to her family remains unfulfilled. Depressed, alone, and in hiding, she runs into a green-eyed scientist looking to redeem her own family name.
