Summary
Henry lay awake all night, in what was once the room he and Charles shared. The pilot's spare headphones sat secure on his chest, rising and falling with every breath.
He couldn't close his eyes. He just couldn't. If he did, he'd see him. A pair of arms pushing him to safety, his face pressed up against the window, growing further and further away until, in a burst of golden light, everything was gone. Henry could mentally trace the lines of the cracked escape pod, he had seen this so many times.
He didn't know what he'd do if he saw it again.

Summary
Charles gasped with excitement.
Before the two was Ellie Rose, their third teammate, crouched upon a huge red motorcycle decked out with rose patterns that even matched her helmet and embroidered leather jacket. She gave them a grin and pulled over, boot planted against the ground as she reached down and grabbed a couple of helmets stored in the sidecar.
"You guys need a ride?"

Summary
A cool, sweet, sugary scent had carelessly drifted it's way from the kitchen all throughout the house, reaching Weiss' nose at the foyer. Curious, she got to her feet and stretched out a bit. It was only a quick trip up the stairs before she reached the kitchen. She just couldn't help herself; a tiny laugh escaped her lips when she got there.
Standing at the counter with a determined stance was Weiss' girlfriend, Ruby, clad in a doughy apron with her red hair all tied up. Her sleeves were rolled to the point where you couldn't even tell it was supposed to be a sweatshirt, and she happily hummed along to Christmas music playing through her phone. She stirred with a fervid energy in a large bowl, grey eyes completely focused.

Summary
Even after years of it, Penny Polendina wasn't used to a human-- er, normal sleep schedule. Nestled in the dark peace and quiet of the apartment she shared with her best friend, Ruby Rose, the android couldn't help but think; literal gears turning in her head. She tossed and turned under the piles of blankets Ruby had said could give her a sounder sleep, burying her face deep into her pillow. No matter what she did, her mind still raced with thoughts.
Thoughts that were already years old.

Summary
“Wow!” Mabel said, holding the crisp hundred dollar bill very tenderly. “That’s like... the opposite of pick-pocketing.”
“Listen, Mabel, I… need your help. I’m kind of desperate, okay? This town doesn’t exactly have the biggest selection of… geniuses.”
“Why not ask Dip then?”
“I need you. You’re, like, the love expert, right?”
“Oh, Paz, I know all about love! Why didn’t you just say so?”
“Good, because I need you to show me what a date is like.”
