“You know what I miss?”, you mumble into the darkness after a while, your eyes opening back up and your body pressing against his. Childe is quiet for a second, his breath even and you wonder if he already fell asleep until his body shifts and his grip around you becomes stronger.
“Me?”, he grins against your ear, his lips touch your skin so lightly you can barely feel it but to his touch, there is always something pulling you deeper, sucking you in like a black hole; there’s hardly anything shallow with him.
You pull a face at his remark but shake your head, then. “I miss the cold”, you sigh. “I miss the snow. I miss the ever present risk of freezing to death any second.”(You feel homesick. Childe knows just the thing to help you feel better.)
