It was supposed to be the first time that Tsukishima and Yamaguchi got drunk together. It was supposed to be a night alone with just the two of them and some alcohol, getting equally as drunk and having the time of their lives, but sometimes things don't go according to plan.
Alternately: Yamaguchi is just too adorable when he gets tipsy and Tsukishima wants to remember ever waking detail.

Summary
Kei tries his hardest not to hold onto impossible dreams. He repeats that to himself as he watches Kageyama walk towards his room, and clenches his own fist instead of reaching out after him.
“I think he's in love with Kunimi,” Kei says ten minutes later, peering at Yamaguchi and Yachi through Skype.
“Hmm,” Yamaguchi says mildly.
Kei stares at him incredulously. “Hmm?” he echoes.
“Hmm,” Yamaguchi says again. Yachi smiles gently at Kei over her boyfriend's shoulder. “I'm not sure that's the roadblock you think it is,” Yamaguchi says, too casually, after a moment.
What, Kei thinks.

Kei's heart's reactions to Kageyama are embarrassing. He thinks this would be easier to ignore if they hadn't ended up at the same college, if Kageyama hadn't relaxed enough to find a smile that never fails to make Kei's heart stutter, if Kageyama didn't sometimes look at Kei like he'd hung the moon instead of just kept it in his name. He thinks this would be easier to hope for if Kageyama didn't sometimes look at Kunimi the same way.
