    The rain was falling against the windows in soft pitter-patter sounds, crackling thunder and lightning alighting their shared bedroom every few minutes. Mo Xuanyu was huddled close to the body at his front, his nose buried in the neck there, his arms curled around Lan Wangji's slender ones and held protectively between their hearts. At his back, Wei Wuxian was his big spoon, his fingers drawing calming patterns onto Xuanyu's sleeping robes. They might've been vaguely lotus- and peony-shaped.
