Summary
In response to trauma, Iruka’s mind blocked out certain memories. This allowed him to live as a mostly well-adjusted academy teacher, greeting each morning with a smile and working hard to do his part in the village.
However, an incident during a mission causes Iruka to suddenly start remembering. He struggles to cope with the memories, which begin to disrupt his life and kindle an obsession with finding the imprisoned Mizuki.
Kakashi increasingly becomes involved and determined to save Iruka from himself—by any means necessary.

Law shuts his eyes in embarrassment and shakes his head aggressively. He can’t believe Luffy woke up when he’s always so hard to wake up. There’s no possible way he can face him right now, let alone tell him what happened.
“Come on, Traffy. Tell me what you were thinking about… and what… what that was.”
He shakes his head again, but it’s Luffy’s next words, and the way that he says them in such a low sexy voice that has him breaking.
