Summary
In the end, the whole affair is a bit anticlimactic. Nie Huaisang, second son of Qinghe Nie, goes to his knees before another clan’s ancestors and rises up as Nie Huaisang, Chief Consort of Sandu Shengshou, Leader of the Yunmeng Jiang. He isn’t quite sure what he’d been expecting when he decided to marry a near stranger for the sake of political intrigue, but it certainly hadn’t been whatever this is.

"Oh, Gamuza and Spoonhead," he called down the staircase. "She curbstomped him into the rails with all four hooves, it was beautiful. Kinda ruined the tracks, though."
He pushed his bedroom door open.

He pulled his bedroom door closed.
Heart thundering in his ears, Ichigo stared at his own hand on the door handle. Was there really -- no. A hallucination. Maybe Gamuza had kicked a piece of rebar in his direction on accident and now he was in a coma or something. They were rushing him to the hospital right now. Desperate to save him before his brains leaked all the way out. Yeah, that sounded better.
He pushed his door open again, just a crack.
"You close that in my face again and we're gonna have a problem," notorious supervillain Pantera mused, propped up on one elbow on Ichigo's bed.

Shen Yuan stopped, feeling a little of his bad mood evaporate. Just as he expected, reclined in the grass beside the camellia bushes, was his cat. To be honest, the cat wasn't actually Shen Yuan's but the cat of Shen Yuan's father's second wife. Still, even if the cat was technically Shen Jiu's, he was always leaping over the wall of Shen Jiu's part of the estate and Shen Yuan had ended up growing quite close to him.
Xuehua perked up as Shen Yuan drew closer, stretching a little then padding over to wind in between Shen Yuan's legs. Satisfied, he let out a soft meow then hopped nimbly onto Shen Yuan's shoulder bumping his furry little head against Shen Yuan's cheek. Ah! This cat was really too cute!
