Summary
“We’ll be doing this again, then.”
Vi doesn't look up from the buttons of Caitlyn's blouse, still opened and baring her chest to the quiet serenity of the office. Frown lines dance across her forehead as Vi tries to fit the tiny things into their respective frustrating holes.
“Seems like that's kinda the point of this whole bargain, isn't it?”
Caitlyn furrows her eyebrows. “You keep talking about an arrangement, a… bargain, but I’m not sure I follow you. What – how exactly is this supposed to work?”
Vi laughs, and Caitlyn supposes she must be quite funny in her ignorance. “How it works is you get me all these nice things I never even asked for, and in return, I fuck your smart brains out. Simple as that.”
Simple as that."
or,
Caitlyn Kiramman is Vi's older best friend, incredibly gorgeous savior, and sugar mommy. It's all going quite well, really, with one tiny exception. Caitlyn herself doesn't seem fully aware of the situation.

“Oh.” Her shoulders relax, and a blush spreads all over her face. “I see.”
Caitlyn frowns, rewinds the conversation to spot what she might have accidentally revealed. “What do you see?”“You know, you could have just asked me for it, ‘cause I really wouldn’t have turned you down, gifts or no gift-”
“Vi, what are you-”
“Okay.” Caitlyn isn’t sure what she’s agreeing to anymore, only that she’s lost track of this conversation at one point. She turns her face into a neutral mask, and hopes that Vi hasn’t caught her confusion. “I’ll move in with you, I’ll take the offer.” Vi chuckles, and her eyes widen in disbelief that she seems to quickly accept as true. “I’m down for it, Cupcake. Really, really down for it, if that's what you want.”
And it is – what Caitlyn wants. In ways Vi cannot fully grasp, perhaps. In ways a woman more than ten years older than her should not want, surely, but she knows for a fact that Vi would not turn down an older woman if she had a knife to the neck.“Shake on it?”
The hand shoved in her face is not thick but long, not hurt but scarred and healed. Caitlyn takes it softly, and rubs her thumb over its back.
“So, when does this – this thing start? When do you want me?”
It's happening. They're really doing this, and Vi accepted without putting up the ferocious fight Caitlyn expected they'd get through. It felt almost too easy, but she doesn’t dwell on that thought and sighs in relief. They’re moving in together.
Caitlyn relaxes her shoulders. “I'll let you know, but preferably quite rapidly.”

Here she is, having to take care of herself with a mechanical device because her kind husband has no interest in fucking her.
Here she is paying a woman to seduce her kind husband so she can get rid of him without having to pay him alimony.
Here she is lusting after the woman she’s paying to seduce her kind husband.
Here she is jealous that the woman she’s paying to seduce her kind husband is apparently successfully seducing her kind husband because she’d rather be the one seducing one or both of them.

Summary
Alicent Hightower is at loss regarding her generation's use of technology and deeply convinced that social media has melted people's brains. Aged thirty-five, divorced, and a newly revealed lesbian who has yet to be offered any true experience in that world, she refuses to hold a device in her hand for more than a Sunday phone call to her father or a check-up on her son's wanderings, and even less to pursue women.
A promise that is soon broken when, after decades of weirdly charged friendship, she is introduced to Rhaenyra’s Instagram page - and to her great misery, to Rhaenyra's daily (and revealing) gym updates.
or,
Alicent finds out that Rhaenyra has been getting unfairly muscular, and wonders why that is of any interest to her.

Bookmarker's Notes
“How long will it take you to ask me for it, do you think?”
Air rushes out of her lungs and saliva leaves her mouth dry, her ears ringing with a mix of shock and a second, secret thing Alicent is too guilty to admit to. It isn’t unlike arousal, she knows - immediate and strong, the sign that her body understands the turn their relationship will take tonight before it has even caught up to her brain, too swayed by guilt. Alicent has never experienced this yet knows exactly how it feels: the time that slows down to a stop before the vase crashes on the floor, provoked by a cloud of tension in which lightning has yet to strike; and, she supposes, the moment before which your friend becomes your lover.

Summary
“You know Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I…” Rumi’s fingers toyed with the edge of her notebook. She hesitated, then smiled certainly—like she’d made a decision. “And I—well, would you maybe—”
Mira didn’t let her finish.
The words tangled in her chest, sharp and panicked. She could already hear it—Jinu this, Jinu that. Some request for help picking something romantic. Advice she absolutely did not want to give—at least, not without a solid week to prepare herself. The idea of sitting there, nodding along while Rumi talked about her boyfriend, made something twist painfully in her chest.
“I’m so sorry.” Mira blurted, already shoving her chair back with an uncomfortable scrape. “I… I didn’t realize how late it was. I really have to go.”
__________
OR: Mira being oblivious while Rumi repeatedly hits her over the head with the "pls ask me out" stick. And then they fuck about it.

“I swear.” She said, squinting at it carefully before taking a hesitant bite. “This sauce tastes haunted. Like it remembers being good once.”

Summary
Secrets mean that she's still safe. That she hasn't ruined her only chance at fixing herself yet.
So when Rumi begins having less-than-appropriate thoughts about her bandmates, it's just another thing she adds to the shelf.
They were nothing more than intrusive thoughts at first.
Everyone gets those. Who hasn't accidentally imagined their friends in a sexual context at least once? It happens, and she knows it doesn't mean anything. Mira and Zoey are objectively incredibly attractive, it can easily be explained as a completely normal compulsion.
So life goes on. Things are normal, and every now and again Rumi thinks about fucking her friends.

Bookmarker's Notes
She wants to feel their skin beneath her fingertips, taste the salt of them on her tongue, hear every pretty sound they could make while she takes them apart. At the same time, she wants to be pressed between them, let them do whatever they want to her and make her unravel from the knot she'd tied herself into.
Those thoughts ignite something that itches beneath her skin and makes warmth bloom in her stomach. She tries not to acknowledge it for her own sake.
Eventually she does start feeling guilty about it because she knows she shouldn't be thinking that way about her friends as often as she is, but guilt is just another part of waking up every day. She shoves it down into a box with the rest of her secrets so she can keep focusing on their next album release.
