Summary
Renna Albach: a normal Earth woman. Historian. Doesn't know the first thing about the galaxy beyond. Until December 2379 when an intergalactic plague threatens her life and simple worldview. Saved by Data, she finds herself both now the center of the life of the android who brought her back from death and an important player in discovering the truth behind the mystery of the super virus that destroyed her simple life.
Six months later with the virus mystery still open, Renna marries Data happily but tragedy strikes at the wedding. Dr. Bruce Maddox, the leading cyberneticist, is found dead the morning after the wedding. Data and Renna feel compelled to uncover the mystery of Dr. Maddox's death which will lead to shocking revelations and a question of why humans do these things, especially if they're done by those closest to you.
With the mystery seemingly unraveled, Renna and Data enjoy a honeymoon on Risa. But the honeymoon is cut short by the appearance of Q. And the Soongs find themselves at the center of a final adventure that will explore the consequences of one woman's actions and see the collapse of one of the most prominant institutions.
