Summary
El Mayarah. Her family’s motto. Stronger together. But how was she supposed to be stronger together when she was alone?
She was trying. Every day, she tried. She made the effort to get up, to face her life with as much grace as she could. She was one of the last survivors of her people, potentially the last, and she wouldn’t dishonor her people’s memory, her family’s memory, by giving up. She wouldn’t fail her parents, wouldn’t give up until her last promise to them was fulfilled.
Kara Zor-El arrives on an Earth where Superman doesn't exist. Without anyone to intercept her crashed pod, Kara is found and captured by the government. Twelve years later, her last promise to her family remains unfulfilled. Depressed, alone, and in hiding, she runs into a green-eyed scientist looking to redeem her own family name.

Summary
Instead of getting Ruby a gift for finishing middle school, Lena was asked to take care of herself properly. Sam and the rest of the Super Friends jumped in and asked Lena to do things with them instead of buying things for them. Kara hadn’t asked for anything. Summary
“I’m sure.” Lena doesn’t mean to snap —it’s more of a mild annoyance if anything because if her once best friend doesn’t know that there is no way in hell she would be doing this if she didn’t want to, if she didn’t, however unwillingly, trust Kara with this, then did she ever know her at all? “As long as you’re amenable, Kara, I’m offering my complete consent. Is that okay, or would you like it in writing as well?”
For the first time, Lena’s snipe and the crystal clear memory of their last phone call just makes Kara smile. “I’m good,” she says softly.
“Good.”
“You know, a week ago, the morning after we— I’d convinced myself it was a dream. I was scared to check my call log.”
“Do you have many wet dreams about me, Kara?”
Kara laughs suddenly, though she can’t help but feel like she’s been missing out on an essential experience. “No.”
“Shame.”
“You, uh, you hung up last time,” Kara ventures hesitantly. “Before I could…”
“If you’re worried I didn’t complete the mission, I’m happy to inform you that I did.”
“No, before I could tell you that you sounded beautiful.”

Summary
Kara cradles her pile of dirty plates. She doesn’t know how to open Lena’s brand new dishwasher without ripping the handle apart. She usually figures these things out through trial and error, but she’s never been alone in Lena’s apartment, and she can’t risk winging it in front of her.
So, she just stands by the sink and watches the hot water redden Lena’s sensitive skin, the light glinting off her beautiful earrings, and my happiness bites the plum of your mouth. The verse comes to her, unbidden, from one of their weekly poems. Lena always chooses poems with such physicality to them. Always real, touchable.
---Or: Kara is an alien, Lena is a genius. Their strangeness separates and connects them to the world and each other in peculiar ways. Being human in Lena’s eyes allows Kara to tap into parts of herself she hadn’t been able to explore before, but she knows her secret will one day stop being a bridge between them, and they’ll both lose the version of Kara Lena has grown to love. (Tender slow burn, mutual respect, bittersweetness and tentative physicality galore! Some angst and a lot of joy)

Summary
“Are you Lena?”
The girl jolted in her spot on the sofa, hugging the bear closer to her chest. “Yes.”
Even though Kara had known it from the second she had laid eyes on the child, the confirmation still managed to take her by surprise.
“Who are you?” Lena asked, trying to sound as confident as she could.
“Oh, my name’s Kara.” Kara replied warmly, taking a step forward, eager to move closer to offer reassurance before halting the second she saw the younger version of her once best friend flinch. “It’s okay,” Kara quickly soothed, “It’s okay. I won’t hurt you.”
Lena peered over the top of her bear’s fuzzy head, “Promise?”
Kara knelt down and smiled brightly, “Promise.”or
Following Lex’s defeat, Kara and Lena are struggling to rebuild their friendship and let go of the hurt caused on both sides when Kara and Lena work together to help an alien return home. To show their gratitude for being saved the alien provides the two of them a chance to close the rift still between them. How? By getting them to meet each other's younger selves.
