Half of his face is gone as he lies dead on a concrete floor, and Ellie tries to wake him up like he’s not missing half of his brain. She’s just tired.
The girl stares at her like she’s unsure of what she sees. Then, something wakes up in her as she scrambles to her feet and grabs a handgun from her pants.
