They called themselves friends.
But friendship doesn’t account for the way someone’s voice lingers a little too long in your head.
It doesn’t explain why jealousy feels sharper than it should.
It doesn’t warn you what happens when loyalty and desire start pulling in opposite directions.Glances become patterns.
