Summary
This is a story about soulmates, but it's not a soulmates story.
Isak is heading into the end of his second year at Nissen with his best friend Jonas by his side, and his trusty study buddy Sana helping him with his grades. He lives at home with his mother, Marianne, in a house that is too big for them. Isak's father left a couple of years ago in a drawn-out separation, and his sister Lea is at university in Germany. But he's fine with that. He takes care of his mother, and his mother takes care of him. They're both focused on school, since Marianne is a professor at the university and Isak is Isak. The only other thing of particular interest in his life is driving a car, since he'll be getting his license shortly after turning 18 in June. He drives Marianne around the city when she needs a chauffeur, and waits for her in parking lots while she runs errands.
That's where he first sees Even, in a parking lot, outside of a church. Even doesn't see him, but that doesn't really matter. Isak sees him first, and the search for a name, a friend, a story, begins.

Summary
Bad people make good TV. A number of questionable life choices have led Isak to his current gig – junior producer on Lykkelig alle sine dager, Norway’s answer to The Bachelor franchise. He wants out, badly, but first he has to survive the current season’s production hell. Isak knows how to lie, cheat, and manipulate the contestants to engineer addictive drama and televised “true love”. He’s ready to do it one final time. Handling the leading man is going to be a piece of cake.

Summary
It’s the damn miracles. Isak could potentially get over his aversion to gingerbread latte in time. Steel himself against Deck the Halls! assaulting his ears on a daily basis. Perhaps even learn to ignore the fact that he’s contractually obligated to wear ugly-ass Christmas jumpers to work. He’ll never be OK with the miracles though: carefully scheduled, flawlessly executed, photogenically staged, they make his gut churn with raw anger.

Summary
They both take a step back. Even brings the offending hand to his hot tea cup to stop himself from touching Isak again.
"Habit." Even offers.
"Yeah. Muscle memory.” Isak counters.Isak and Even are exes, "high school sweethearts". Isak has moved on (duh!). Even is almost there.
But then Isak is back in Oslo, invading his office and his thoughts (and his heart), and Even isn't so sure anymore.Or, they both keep forgetting they're no longer lovers, until they no longer need to.

Summary
Isak leaves university with no real idea of what he's going to do next with his life -- except it definitely isn't going to be anything as idiotic as falling in "love", not even with the one night stand he can't quite forget. But with his friends all insisting on settling down, he's starting to wonder if they might have a point -- maybe love isn't just a hormonal imbalance after all.
