Summary
As the evening supplants the last vestiges of dusk, and the ricocheting reaches a final crescendo before the absence of light forces it into its coda, Ivan is drawn to the constellations above. He recalls the city, scattered stars with cavernous gulfs of black between them. He had known this intuitively, what with the lack of light pollution, but it’s a different sensation to witness it himself.
The stars out here are clearer.
The grin he can just make out on the ice confirms it.

Summary
Till doesn’t care. Really. He couldn’t care less.
Even if Ivan’s legions of adoring fans seem to grow exponentially with every new championship under his belt, both in numbers and in parasocial behaviour, he’s completely accepting of the fact that his boyfriend’s career means that the man attracts a little attention. It’s not as if he's leaving hate comments under every fan edit he sees.
He’s only done that, like, thrice.

Summary
Something throbs under Till’s thumb. A beat passes. It does it again. Till looks down, confused, and realizes that his hand is gripping Ivan’s wrist, nails digging into the pale skin, his thumb jabbed right into the pulse point.
Ivan’s heart beats slowly. Ivan breathes slowly. Ivan blinks slowly, his giant eyes tilted up. When they make eye contact, Ivan’s pulse skips a beat. The only thought running through Till’s head is: huh?
“Hello,” Ivan says. “You went somewhere.”
“Uh,” Till manages. Ivan’s pulse thrums under his fingers. Why is it so soothing? Every beat of Ivan’s heart lifts a bit of the weight off Till’s chest. Is that normal?
(or: somewhere along the way, Ivan and Till "fall in love," or something like that. This changes nothing that matters, but they end up okay.)
