Summary
A hunt gone wrong leaves sixteen year old Sam a vampire, and forces Dean to choose between his baby brother and his father. John wants to put Sam down. Dean chooses to save him. He takes Sam and runs. Together they embark on a roadtrip of a quest across America to find a cure. There are rumors, whispers of a secret vampire cure—they just need to find the recipe. All Sam has to do in the meantime is not feed on human blood until they cure him.
Easy peasy.
Unfortunately, resisting the pull of human blood is hard when your brother is sleeping in the next bed over. And Sam’s new overpowered senses let him pick up on some peculiarities he wouldn’t have otherwise, like where Dean sneaks off to in the middle of the night to make some extra cash, or that Dean’s feelings for his brother are more than brotherly.

(Sam and Dean get sent back to 1996 and go on a hunt with their teenaged selves. The kids don't know who they are.)
