The rest of the band watches from the sidelines – another day, another spat; another argument they’d rather not get in the middle of.
“Yeah? Like you were outta the band two days ago? Right,” he chuckles dryly. He isn’t much taller than Kerry, but he always takes up more space. “Funny. Tell another one.”

“Ken agreed to go see a counsellor,” he begins. Akihiko smiles triumphantly. “But only if I go see one as well.” Somehow, Aki’s stupid smile gets even more triumphant. “So I’m dragging you into this too. We all see a counsellor.” Akihiko’s smile fades, Shinjiro notices gleefully.

“It's Shinjiro. He’s awake, at the hospital.”
Every single piece of background noise fades, leaving only an intense ringing in Akihiko’s skull. He’s frozen to the spot; time has stopped moving all at once. He hangs up without thinking about it, throws his cell onto the bedspread and slams his right fist into his bag with as much force as he can possibly muster. Pain erupts through his tendons and bones almost immediately, and the ambient noise of existing returns. Akihiko’s knees bend and he slams into the wooden floor of the dorm.
__Shinjiro and Akihiko moving forward, together. It takes them some time to figure it out.

V does watch him leave. It is Kerry Eurodyne in the flesh, afterall; freckled skin in some sort of quasi-kimono that just skims the tops of his thighs, high up to the waterline. His hips have a sway, no doubt aided by the whisky V is tasting on his back palate with each exhale, giving him just the quickest flashes of the bottom of his ass—
And as soon as it occurs, he immediately feels himself throw the thought away, unwillingly, as if possessed.
Pettily, V grabs the thought again before it can be lost in the heething swarm of his hindbrain, pulls it to the very forefront: Kerry Eurodyne’s ass cheeks, tanned and looking grabbable, and he can hear Johnny pitch a fit and stomp around his head before he’s suddenly crackling to life next to V, perched gargoyle-esque on the back of Kerry’s couch. He glowers down at him.
“So,” V starts, “a concert?”
