Summary
Shane accidentally sleeps over with Ilya in the hotel where all of Boston's team is staying on the same floor. They have to scramble to hide him when Marlow comes knocking, and then sneak Shane out before their game.
After the game, Shane decides he is brave enough to spend one night of their Christmas break together before heading home to see his family. Too bad a record-breaking snow storm keeps him in Boston for five days....

Shane pulls back, carefully cradling Ilya’s face. “Maybe we shouldn’t.”
“You don’t want to?” Ilya’s eyes are bottomless; swimming with grief. He says it like he really means, You don’t want me?
“That isn’t what I mean,” Shane says gently, brushing his thumb over Ilya’s cheekbone. Ilya’s eyes flutter shut, as if being treated so tenderly causes him physical pain. Like he isn’t used to it. “You’re hurting. I don’t want you to regret it in the morning.”
Ilya’s eyes open. “I have never regretted a moment with you.”

Summary
Rozanov concluded the interview with a nod, hefted his bag higher onto his shoulder, and turned to leave. Hayden’s first reaction was to notice that Rozanov had the same type of bag that Shane had brought to the arena by accident. That was then followed by the thought that it was funny that Rozanov’s bag had a worn out spot on the strap like the bag he’d been carrying earlier. And then some more capable portions of his brain informed him of the truth.
Shane had accidentally brought Ilya Fucking Rozanov’s bag to the arena.
Shane asks Hayden for a favor. Hayden comes to some wildly incorrect conclusions.

Ilya’s gaze flicked to him, bright blue eyes shining wide, “Does Rose Landry know you are safe?” He asked, changing the subject.
“I didn’t text her,” Shane replied, shaking his head. “Not… anything about me drinking.”
“Your parents?”
“No. I didn’t text anyone else. Just you.” He clarified, needing to get that point across. Didn’t that mean anything? That out of all the people Shane could have called, he’d chosen Ilya.
