Arcane story of Viktor and Jayce in the world of Vicious by V.E Schwab.
VIKTOR AND JAYCE started out as academic partners and roommates– genius, arrogant, and lonely boys who recognized the familiar cracked lines in each other. All it took was one shared interest, one crystal, and one death– for each one, awakened something clandestine. Their research garnered some attention. But when the thesis becomes tainted by feelings and hatred, things start to go out of line.
NOTE: Reading the book is not a requirement but it's basically a heavily inspired Vicious retelling using Arcane characters.

Not without showcasing his efforts to Mel while he's at it.
Based on the scene where Viktor is opposed to Mel and Jayce's idea of weaponizing Hextech. Could be seen purely as JayVik or MelJayVik (No Mel slander here!)
