Tears were starting to slide down Henry’s cheeks, haphazardly darkening the pigment on the blanket as they landed.
“Come with me,” Alex whispered, swiping at his eyes quicky, failing to catch the tears that were falling.
Henry smiled sadly. “I can’t do that, darling. You already know that.”
“But…”
“But nothing.” Henry’s voice was a matter of fact. “I can’t just disappear, I’m a prince. It isn’t that simple.”
“But I can?”
“Yes.” Henry noticed the curtain sway as Agent Thom re-entered the room. He dropped his forehead onto Alex’s, his voice weary and barely above a whisper.
“You can. And you will.”

Summary
