a roller coaster of emotions. I liked how attached I got to the characters by the end and how much I was cheering for them. I couldn't put it down and that hasn't happened in a LONG time. there's a random blouis scene with an original charav on chapter 29 that I skipped entirely (note for future self when rereading). I almost threw up from crying at some point and man I needed that. It's not a story with perfect scenarios, but a story with real ones. I could read other 48 chapters of this fic

Harry watches him light his cigarette silently, and Louis hopes he’s at a loss for words. He’d rather die than have to have this conversation right now. But he starts fucking talking, of course. “You fuck a lot of your friends, or…?”
Louis only shrugs, and he’s clearly lying, but it doesn’t matter. If Harry wants to tease him, two can play at that game. “Only the ones that live across the hall from me. But I’ve had lots of neighbors in my lifetime.”
“Mmhm,” Harry nods once. Louis catches the grimace on his face, but he won’t bring it up. “So, just friends, then.”
“Just friends who fuck.”
OR
Louis and Harry live across the hall from each other and quickly turn into fuckbuddies. Until Harry gets a boyfriend, and Louis is left to reflect on their budding relationship by himself.
