It was common routine now for Trixie to frequent the Pravada in the evenings, nursing a glass of whatever Katya was to pick out for her. Tonight she found herself drinking a decedent vodka cranberry, carefully prepared and poured into an expensive crystal glass decorated with little gold leaves around the rim. It was the small details like that which made The Pravada the indulgent, high class bar that attracted the exact kinds of people Trixie was after. Namely, the blonde Russian club owner standing in front of her.

Jake sighed. In the silence, he could hear a door open, then footsteps towards his room. They stopped outside his door, hesitant. Jake waited a beat, then called out in a heavy croak, “It's open.”
The door opened, and Johnnie slipped inside.
The power goes out in Jake and Johnnie's new place and they have some late night realisations (Jake) and some late night conversations (Johnnie).
