Summary
London always felt like it was created for Peter, weirdly. He carried himself as if the city’s essence were woven into his very being—Waterloo, stitched from skittering across cobblestones, ducking into graffiti-clad bus stops, cigarette between endearingly crooked teeth, a charming grin, scribbles filling battered whiskey-soaked notebooks with candids of Carl on the cover. My muse, he’d say. It was meant to be a joke, but he’d always sound far too sincere when he said it.
Peter calls one night, out of the blue. This can only go one way, and it’s already written in the pollution-stars lingering above London.

Summary
Sometimes Carl wants to be the one to throw a fit, to scream that things aren’t fair. But there’s a very small space where things like that slide, and Peter fills it in its entirety, squeezing right to the edges, mouth agape in anguish.
Peter gets married.

James doesn’t want to listen, and he actively tries not to. He closes his eyes and tries to focus on the sound of distant traffic outside but now that he’s heard it and he knows it’s happening he can’t stop hearing it. He hears isolated words, soft moans, occasionally the smack of skin against skin that he doesn’t want to think about too much. He doesn’t know if the girl says anything, but he hears the rumble of Ed’s voice without even trying. It’s second nature to tune in when Ed starts speaking.

In that moment, every one of his dreams hung, inchoate but irrepressible, on this one dark-haired boy with the fancy name and the rips in his jeans, who held Peter’s whole world on a shoestring.

A series of vignettes in which a burnt-out Graham finds himself reminiscing over his relationship with Damon and the uncertain future of his band. The fact that he’s lived the past decade madly in love with his friend, unable to properly communicate his feelings to an ever-flirty Damon, makes it all the more torturous.

Quackity is horribly aware of the fact that if he kisses Wilbur he will probably never want to kiss anyone else for the rest of his stupid, miserable life. If he kisses Wilbur, he will be ruined. If he kisses Wilbur—if he tips his chin up and lets Wilbur take his mouth, lets Wilbur slide his tongue into Quackity’s mouth and kiss him deep and sweet like he does everything, if Quackity sighs and tangles his fingers in Wilbur’s hair and lets himself be kissed and kissed and kissed—it’s all over. That’s it. Wilbur will know. There is no god damn way Wilbur could kiss him and not figure him out.

Summary
Wilbur is the proud owner of The Soothouse, a well-established, cozy coffee shop with his two teenage employees, Tommy and Ranboo. He definitely does not feel threatened by his main competition across the street, Las Nevadas Coffee, run by the most insufferable prick who's determined to push a themed cafe.
He certainly does not feel strangely known by the man he despises the most. That would be ridiculous.
