Summary
“This is risky,” Benny murmured, his southern drawl rough as they climbed through the trees. “Cartin’ an angel with us—”
“I’ll have you know—”
“Hey!” Dean turned around from his position up front and stopped. “I’m your ticket out of here—both of your tickets,” he said, with a pointed look toward Cas. “So you’re gonna do what I say and stop arguing!”
Benny sighed and turned away, hand gripping the club but not arguing. Dean was satisfied with that; he supposed that if Cas was just some angel to him, he might not be so happy either. But he wasn’t.
“Cas?” he asked, voice filled with the strain. He knew, practically, that Cas was not a human. The portal might not work for him—but it didn’t matter. They would either find a way out with Cas, or they didn’t get out. Non-negotiable.

Summary
The first time Dean did it, he didn’t think. Running from a hunt, chasing them through an old, creaky house, his mind was fogged up with adrenaline. The floorboards loose, cracked, rusty nails sticking out-- it’d be so easy to snag a foot or trip on a chasm in the wood, fall down. And Cas, being newly human, well, he wasn’t so used to those things. A knee scrape was still a new experience, the small burning pain sharp and confusing.

Summary
Cas could still feel Dean’s longings, his powerful emotions that ebbed through him so strongly that they overflowed to Cas. As an Angel, he noticed it; as a human, he felt it.
Some days, he would wake up with a warm glow in his stomach, a lightness in his chest. He’d roll over and see Dean, green eyes staring at him with adoration, his soft smile seraphic.
“Hey, sunshine,” he’d whisper, and Cas would feel another burst of that light inside him.

Summary
"I thought, I dunno, that you might be,” Dean paused.
“A lesbian?” Sam suggested at the same time Mary said, “a sodomite?”
“Actually,” Jack piped up into the complete silence that followed Mary’s words, “sodomy refers to both oral and anal sex. Even though it’s used as an outdated term for homosexuality, it doesn’t actually mean homosexual. I learned that from Google,” he told them all proudly.
“Very good, son,” Cas said in a dazed voice.
Or, Dean comes out to Mary. But not without a few major misunderstandings along the way.

Summary
Castiel’s heart stumbles before he can stop it, before he can think about how pathetic that is. To think that every interaction the Swans have proceeds them, that everyone is just waiting to get a glimpse of one of them to fuel their gossip circles for the next three days. Even the invisible shy flutter in his stomach at the thought of the Swans (not the Swans, just one of them, just one single man, but is that any better?) makes Castiel feel like he’s participating in the blatant objectification that he’s uncomfortable just witnessing.
The Swans are only people. This is something that Castiel holds onto. Just people who happen to have a generational curse in their bloodline. And when he interacts with Sam Winchester or Eileen Leahy at his stall, it’s easy. He says hello, they say hello back.
The Swans are just people. And yet, Dean Winchester remains unfathomable.
or the one where the swans are social celebrities, there are different varietals of honey, and dean and cas are both familiar with the concept of loneliness (until they're not)

Summary
Dean is a rock star with a bad reputation in the tabloids and his contract's up for renewal. Cas is an out-of-work actor with two big-budget flops under his belt. Their publicist comes up with a solution -- pretend to date to temper Dean's reputation and bolster Cas' star power.
But Dean's habits are exactly the kind of thing Cas hates and Cas' closed-off professionalism makes him Dean's definition of a buzzkill. Not to mention that when Dean finds someone attractive, he likes to fuck it out of his system. And Cas, well, he made his agent promise to pull him from the arrangement if things get too real.

Summary
“Could you please relax, I know how to drive in a city,” Cas lies, and Dean keeps his eyes closed so he doesn’t have to see Cas get his baby into a fender-bender.
At least until Cas starts singing along to the radio under his breath, and then Dean can’t help but stare at him, late summer sunshine dancing across his face as he dutifully keeps his hands textbook-9-and-3-o’clock positions on the steering wheel and stomps way too friggin hard on the breaks.
Cas tilts his head and gives him a questioning look, so Dean grunts, “Eyes on the road, dumbass,” and tries to only watch Cas surreptitiously through the corner of his eye. An angel of the dickhead-previous-lord, untethered and fully mortal, back from the dead and happily playing chauffeur for him, and all Dean can do is bark at him. Literally there’s no reason for Cas to still be sticking around, but fuck it, here the guy is.
It’s just—retirement, man. Doing his goddamn head in.alternatively, the cas gets cucked fic
