Hopefully someone with a sense of humor who reads a lot of books.” He swallows and his eyes get that mischievous glint to them that always heralds trouble for Chongyun. “Why, Yunyun? Are you thinking about marriage? Got your eye on a pretty girl?”

Xingqiu decides that the perfect way to get his parents off his back about marriage is to get engaged to a perfect girl with great business prospects and stop wasting everyone's time. Easy! Now he can spend all his newfound free time with Chongyun, his best friend in the whole world. This is a great solution with no downsides. :)

"Are you sure?" Melvin asked for the third time. It wasn't that he was trying to discourage Waver, not exactly. He was a strong proponent of people doing interesting things - especially if he got to watch, or at least hear about them later. If you looked up "vicarious" in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Melvin Weins next to the definition. But in this case, he had to admit he had some reservations about Waver's plan.
