Naruto watched him, wary. Sasuke let the silence hang. He was already in so deep, acting so stupid, the way Naruto always seemed to get him to act, and so desperate to get what he wanted. Suddenly, leaving the reunion without Naruto seemed like the worst thing he could imagine. He needed Naruto to feel the same way. So he took another step closer to Naruto, looking at him through lowered eyelids in the dim evening light, put a hand on the shoulder exposed by Naruto’s tank top. It was firm, warm. Sasuke bit his lip.
“Back in high school,” said Sasuke softly, “I used to fantasize about you all the time."
