Summary
Materialization was instantaneous, and yet it felt too slow. His mind was rushing at light-speed, the usually orderly and unforgivingly logical thought processes in tatters. It was only when his arms were relieved of their burden that he dropped to his knees, all his jumbled thoughts converging to one damning realization. I could have been too late.

I read this beautiful, beautiful Trek AU webcomic 'The Universal Constant' where Lt. Kirk is an adorably blushy and bespectacled Science Officer, and couldn't get it out of my mind. -

Summary
“I had thought you might prefer to hear my plans for a new Empire,” Hux almost whispered. It was a risk, not only divulging such thoughts but trusting that Ren’s rooms weren't under surveillance. The barb struck home, Ren’s hands lifted and grabbed Hux’s biceps and he squeezed hard. Shock was written across Kylo’s features and Hux could see as Kylo processed the implications.
“You. I don't know if you're brilliant or insane,” it was softly said with a touch of awe.

Summary
Star Wars, but if it was modern day, and the falcon was really an old beat up van, Chewie was Han's weird friend with an accent so thick no one could understand, R2 and 3PO were dogs, and Luke was in love with his best friend. So, you know, pretty much nothing has changed.
--
“We should get going.”
Luke nodded, making no attempt to move. They sat in silence, the sky growing darker as they watched it.
“You know, Han-” He spoke up after a few minutes of silence. “I want to keep doing this. As long as we can.”
Han turned to him at that, an odd sort of smile on his face.
“.. Yeah. Me too.”
