In the center of it all is a man…
A man who is scrambling around a small convection oven on the counter, trying to scrape out the blackened remains of what Hua Cheng assumes were once cookies. He appears to be in his early thirties and, despite his frantic movements and creased expression, the first word that comes to Hua Cheng’s mind is: soft.
His hair, a beautiful, earthy chestnut brown color, is pulled back into a loose bun on the top of his head. A few strands hang free, framing his face. He wears cuffed jeans and a cream-colored turtle-neck sweater that swamps his frame and falls down to his thighs, giving him a cozy, shapeless figure.

Hate? How the fuck would that word exist in the same sentence as Kim Sunoo? Heeseung couldn’t believe his ears, and scoffs at the situation because after all, this idea embedded in their resident sunshine’s mind wouldn’t be like this if he didn’t do anything to let it linger, when in fact, hate, has never been and will never be a part of Heeseung’s vocabulary, especially if it involves Sunoo.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” I love you, so much, it hurts.
He could, he totally could, he doesn’t, this time. Instead, he gently holds Sunoo’s soft frail wrist in his calloused hands to bring the younger into his bedroom where no one could hear them, or the rapid beating of his heart, or the endless thoughts running in his mind, or the sound of the glass breaking as he finally gives up at the act, yeah, no one should ever witness this vulnerability aside from it’s sole subject.
The bedroom of his door closes and he’s brought back on the 18th of September, year 2020.
