    A great sickfic/injury fuc. Natsume (dizzy from returning Names) falls on the stairs and breaks his wrist. Usual doctor visits, usual fic mentions of anemia -- but this fic follows up!! Touko buys a pomegranate (niether of them have eaten one before) and pulls out all the seeds for them to share. Its a very sweet and well done bonding moment

    Selkie!Kate

    Fun and interesting, i really like what this ads to her character!! And all of her actions in S1 (and even in the flashback episode explaining their relationship before Neal went to jail) make much more sense tied together with this plot thread.

    fic spoilers

    [ending:She survives the explosion but only by using magic. and once she realizes that a) Neal et al. assumes she died b) she can't explain her survival without magic -- she decides to leave for the sea. So no further plot divergence from canon, I would assume. Unless you want to imagine glomming this with one of those "actually I was alive" later reveal fics, I've read at least one of those. Anyways, bit of a downer ending but it fits teh story (and canon lol, not that I care about canon)

    Fun crossover! Junes house is haunted/infested with wights and the Winchesters invite themselves in to deal with it (fortunately June is on board with this when she finds them). BEST depiction of June I've read in a fanfic, i think, love how Dean is both intimidated by and ready to worship her.

    The woman is impressive. Dean knows from women, and this is one he doesn't want to mess with. She's sweet enough, big dark eyes and perfect dark hair and skin that kind of glows from the inside -- not in a scary way, he doesn't think he's going to have to ice her or anything, but definitely in that way that makes a guy take notice. She's more than twice his age, and has double the bosom of any woman Dean's ever had the pleasure of, but there's a spark in her eyes that dares him to consider making a whole series of exceptions.

    Her name is June. And she is extremely, extremely pissed.

    "I know FBI," she tells them. "And you boys are not FBI. You don't know Peter, either, because if you did, you wouldn't be here claiming to work with him when that is not the case. I also know criminals; I married one and I look after another, and you're clearly not here to rob or con me. I would know." When her chin comes up, Dean suffers through a ridiculous urge to kneel.

    Kate's ghost after the wights, turns out the music box (which Neal did NOT, in this AU give to the Russian museum) is drawing all the monsters. Castiel shows up and deals with it. Winchesters leave.

    Some fun bonding and snark all across the fic. More character focus on the wWnchesters for most of it, but a little on peter and (es) Neal too. Somehow manages to be a Neal Whump fic yet again lol, though its mostly emotional whump (grieving kate)

    Really good Parker character study. Nate drives her home immediately post 3x03

     

    The car stops and Nate shakes her shoulder gently as though he thinks she's sleeping. He pushes her hair back. He never touches them like that. She thinks he must really be worried. Or jealous of Archie, which is Sophie's theory, though Parker doesn't understand that. She knows how to love them both. Maybe no one ever taught Nate how to do that. Maybe Parker should tell him.

    Parker wants to tell him that he doesn't need to be a father to her and he doesn't need to fix her. She's content to let him try and explain law and psychology and why her own plans don't work out quite right yet. He doesn't need to be everything because he brought her to the others first, and between the five of them things work out okay. He doesn't need to say it because she wouldn't either. But he sings beside her in the car and he brings the others to get her when she's stuck. She can manage everything else all by herself, she always has.

    So anyway that's what she would say to Nate, if she were good with words.

    Silly and i like how scott is written in this -- generally not into Prostitution AUs but this one really works for me!

    “Since when can I not go out at night, Boo Radley?” Stiles toes off his shoes.

    “That reference doesn’t make sense,” Scott says plaintively. He follows Stiles down the hall. “I worry when you don’t come home! What happened to your face?”

    Stiles gestures vaguely over his shoulder. “Well, you know, shut-ins, and — yeah, it made no sense. I withdraw the reference. I’m fine, Scott.”

    “That guy is scary, Stiles,” Scott says urgently. “That one time you had the flu, he came up to me and asked if my roommate was okay, and I started to introduce myself, and he said ‘I know,’ like, in this super creepy voice!” He looks horrified. “How sure are you that he’s not a supervillain?”

    “Batman has a creepy voice, and he’s not a supervillain,” Stiles points out, a helpless smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Derek is so terrible at the stealth aspect of stalking, it’s hard to find it threatening. It’s like when cats try to hide from you behind a sneaker.

    “Are you trying to convince me that I should let you date Batman?” says Scott. “Friends don’t let friends date Batman.

    "I never understood how a hooker could dress like you do," Derek says.

    "Hey, it caught me you, didn't it?"

    "It didn't take much to catch me," he says simply, like it costs him nothing to admit it. He’s preoccupied with the suits on the rack, pushing something blue aside with a sneer.

    "I'm not sure which one of us that's supposed to be insulting," Stiles says.

    Rather than answering, Derek fills his arms with suits.

    Stiles looks around, taking in the ambiance. There isn’t much to speak of. The beat-up floor is covered in suspicious stains, and the green-shaded lights are strategically dim. At a shadowy table by the door, a large man in an overcoat and a fedora is — reading a newspaper? Oh, for God’s sake.

    "Derek?" he calls. The overcoated shoulders jerk guiltily. He’s honestly amazed the newspaper isn’t upside-down. This is a new low. If Stiles can’t manage to socialize Derek better, someday he’ll pull this kind of thing with someone he’s actually dating, and then he’s going to get dumped hard and deserve it. "Everyone sees you, stop pretending you’re invisible."

    "So have just Scott over for dinner," Derek retorts, like it's obvious.

    Stiles isn't sure why he's fighting this, but says, "I can't cook."

    Derek's face closes off. "I was — but of course you want to have him over without — I'll go out for the night," he says, and tries to get up from the couch like he’s going to get his coat right now.

    "Wait, were you offering to cook for us?" Stiles says, tangling his legs with Derek's so he's forced to sit down or fall over. "Because if you were, that would obviously be amazing."

    "If you want me to," Derek says cautiously.

    "Of course I do," Stiles says. It’s either going to prove to Scott how good a deal Stiles is getting, or make him even more convinced Stiles is going to get his heart broken. Or both, because Scott isn’t dumb. But Stiles is living in the now, so to hell with Scott and his conclusions.

    Woah it actually keeps some things from canon (isaac abusive dad, Allison showing jp to date scott triggering derek bc her family ised to be hunters) and it mostly works?

    Alps makigg a pack w isaac erika boyd. Stules did the planning assuming her wasnt included and derek was offended lol

    > There are a few tense moments: no one bringing any mixers or cups; Derek calling Erica's painted flowers "amoebas"; Isaac knocking over a vase and almost going to pieces himself. But they get through it. Boyd turns out to be an invaluable element in the group dynamic for his simple refusal to react to any of this. He also sasses Derek a lot, which is fun.

    Ending is super cute
