“Non-violent. He was arrested in Atlanta when he was 21. He was working for this dealer that had him on the streets selling drugs and—“ He cut himself off, “Anyway he was sentenced to five years. He’s getting out in a week and he’s lost, John. He’s got nowhere to go. No family, no anything. And I know if he doesn’t have something he’s just gonna go back to his old habits and land himself right back in prison, or worse.”
“So what, you want me to babysit him?”
“No, I want you to put him to work.”
