Their sibling was known in certain circles as Hermione Granger, a well placed spell over Mystic Falls kept Hermione's idendity a secret until she returned home.
Until Hermione crashes the Mikaelson Ball, clearly traumatised and in need of her siblings support.
No-one knew of the ripples Hermione would cause coming home when she did, but big ripples they were.
After all we all know Kol Mikaelson held witches in highest regard...
Klaus was not so secretly in love with Caroline...
And Elena and Elijah always had chemistry...
