Summary
The day that Ransom and Holster tell Will that he’s getting their dibs - or half of their dibs, really - he doesn’t think much of it. Because it’s a no-brainer... because even though his scholarship helps, it’s not enough to cover all of his expenses... and even with two part-time jobs during the school year and working on his uncle’s boat full-time during the summer, he’s still looking at an uncomfortable amount of debt hanging over his head once he graduates…
In the end, all he had to do was live with Nursey… and, like, fix everything ever for the rest of his life, but it’s not like he wasn’t doing that already. Being the resident repairman is nothing new.
And really, things have been better with Nursey lately, and it’s good. It bodes well, because they don’t snip at each other anymore, and they can hold conversations that don’t dissolve into fights, and the chirping that goes on these days is friendlier and in good humor, and at the end of the day, there’s nothing to think about. Because living with Nursey? It’s just not a big deal.
Of course, Will should have known better than that, because nothing with Derek Nurse is easy.

Will knows Nursey, of course. He signed with the Falconers a few months ago as a free agent after college, just like Will did, and they’ve been paired together as defense partners pretty frequently, through rookie camp and now training camp.

Summary
Before the start of the year, Nursey had a few ideas about how he and Dex would make sharing a room work.
He imagined rules about socks on doors, about texts warning of visitors. He pictured an allotted quiet time so he could get some reading done. Nursey imagined weekends rooming with Chowder to give Dex time to cool off, or weekends with Dex rooming with Chowder to give Nursey some space. They were better than they were as frogs, and even better than the year after that, but they still weren’t great. Nursey anticipated a lot of pushback, a lot of struggle.
He didn’t expect them to start having sex?

A few nights later, it happens again. And again. And again...
Which is fine. Really. He will handle this insanity the same way he’s handled every other weirdness Samwell has thrown at him since he got here.
He’s just not sure how to deal with the implications of how often he wakes up in worlds where Nursey is in bed beside him.

Summary
Four years after graduating from Samwell, Nursey can honestly say he loves his life.
He just finished his third novel. He eats like a somewhat responsible adult. He lives in a small two-bedroom apartment with his best friend, who cooks them fancy Instagram recipes for dinner and binges new Netflix series with Nursey on the couch and knows how to deal with the anxious voice in Nursey's head better than anyone (especially Nursey).
And yeah, Nursey is kind of totally in love with Dex, has been for going on five years thereabouts, and all of Nursey's friends and family are adamant that the feelings are reciprocated and Nursey should just go for it , but, well. He and Dex have a good thing going, and maybe something romantic could be good, too, but the prospect of ruining what they have is terrifying enough for Nursey to let things just stay the same.
Then there's a car accident, a transfer of guardianship, and a little baby girl with the widest smile Nursey has ever seen, and the change becomes inevitable.- Language:

His lips are just a little parted, barely enough to give away any emotion, but his pupils are blown so wide that Will can see himself in them. It’s open in a way he’s not used to, like he’s seeing Derek instead of Nursey, and it’s so raw it takes his breath away for a second. Nursey's eyebrows twitch up, a challenge that twists wrong in Will’s stomach.
