   Summary

   Being an ex-nation isn't exactly doing wonders for Gilbert's mental health. His current coping mechanisms consist of drinking too much beer and making terrible life decisions, which is how he ends up drunk on Romano's doorstep in Rome.
   Romano has absolutely no idea why he's there. Gilbert doesn't know either.

   Somehow, against all odds, one terrible first impression becomes the start of a strange (kinda gay) friendship that forces them both to confront the parts of themselves they've spent years trying to ignore.
