Ghosts rarely showed physical wounds, as death indiscriminately swept them away with its cold arrival, but they could flicker back from time to time. If the ghost was startled, maybe, or if they felt particularly close to their living bodies. For just a moment, this ghost’s wounds appeared, almost holographic in nature.
It wasn’t a stab through the heart. It was a decapitated head, cerulean blood gushing down her god tiered garb. There, then gone.
Because Vriska fucking Serket was hanging around this dream bubble, but she wasn’t Terezi’s Vriska. If you could say that about any Vriska at all.

with a sigh and a twist of the lock, raine opens the door, expecting one of those merchants that stop by to sell them some scam potion every once in a while. they’re already not having it, after their more-than-exhausting paperwork to deal with today, and they bring a hand to the bridge of their nose to pinch it.
“whatever you’re selling, i’m not interested,” they say tiredly. “so if you could kindly vacate my property and leave me be, that’d be wonderful.”
“hey, rainy,” eda smiles, though it’s a little tight at the corners. “wanna get married?”

“what are these?” raine asks, flipping through the letters as carefully as possible. they don’t catch any of the words at first glance, except the first line: all of the letters are addressed to rainstorm.
“they’re letters,” eda says, as if that wasn’t obvious. this hits them a second later, and they rethink it, clarifying: “for you.” another pause, a further clarification: “well, for me. but they’re to you.”
