Summary
Shen Yuan shifts to his humanoid form in a panic, kneeling in front of them for a closer look at the fist sized, relatively small eggs. They are just as real from close up, and Shen Yuan pokes one with a tentative finger, careful of his claw. It’s still warm from the heat of his body before he laid it, and so, so incriminating.
What is Luo Binghe going to think when he sees this? Shen Yuan thinks hysterically.
Or: Shen Yuan rescued Luo Binghe as a child, but he’s long since grown and it’s time for him to leave the nest. So why are Shen Yuan’s traitorous instincts betraying him and having him lay a clutch of eggs now?

Somehow, this turns out to be a blessing in disguise.
