That’s all to say, they talk business all the time, sure, but they never… talk. Whatever they are comes alive after the lights go out, and usually after a drink or two or three. Tenna can hardly make himself kiss Spamton most of the time, because if he does, he’s not sure what foolish thing he’ll do next. There’ll never be a them. No future, no unit, nothing more serious than a signed contract and no, not that kind. There’s no chance of anything, not when he thinks about the long and short of it.
