Noel would often catch Mischa Bachinski staring at him these days. And he couldn’t tell if it was judgment or something else. It was likely not the latter.
He’d be in English, or Choir or even sitting with his friends at lunch, and he’d feel eyes on him. When he turned to see who, Mischa would get red in the face and look at his feet. Like some kind of ditzy high school girl. It was so unlike the boy Noel, to be honest, knew very little about and held in rather low regard.
Noel never paid much attention to Mischa. Sure, he was hot. Annoyingly hot, even. But he was just another boy at school who hung around the evil kids who relentlessly tormented Noel. Mischa also just happened to go to choir with Noel and have English with him.
Mischa didn’t look at Noel and Noel didn’t look at him.That’s how it used to be at least.
