They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

Before Robin can even open her mouth to question her, Nancy’s extracting herself from her embrace, grabbing her hand and tugging her towards the stairs. She marches ahead, Robin following, pushing past writhing teenagers with determined fury. That anger, that cold, icy selfish need to have Robin to herself has turned hot and molten in her stomach. It’s no longer quite as fiery, but it’s just as consuming, and as they reach the stairs, Nancy realises what it is she wants.
She’s proved that Robin is hers to Vickie. Now she wants to prove it to Robin, too.

Summary
Robin’s eyes glisten with tears; those already shed create silver tracks on her cheeks that shimmer in a way that makes Nancy want to take Robin in her arms for the rest of eternity, to hold her until the world ends or else swallows them whole. Her lower lip trembles as she gazes down at Nancy like she’s begging, pleading with her to make it stop, make it go away, make it better.
Nancy brings her hands up slowly. Gives Robin the chance to pull away, if that’s what she needs. But Robin leans into her touch the second Nancy’s palms cup her face, desperate and in need of comfort. It makes Nancy want to sob herself.
How dare they do this to you, she thinks. My beautiful, genius girl. How dare they make you feel small.
