“You know that’s not what I mean.” Aaron’s glare is accusing, as if he sees right through Andrew’s facade of words laced with poison and glares infused with sharply honed violence.
“Then what do you mean? Because we don’t do that. We don’t talk.”
Or: The Trojans have been chosen to host a special Winter Banquet, and Andrew tries to cope with going back to California. As he grapples for hold, there is Neil, and then there's Aaron. Both show support in their own way.

Summary
“If I went to Evermore for break, Riko would pull Proust. I told him I’d go, but I’d need proof of him holding up his end of the deal. When I got to Evermore, Proust was dealt with.”
Andrew felt his world tilt on its axis. He tried to parse through his days at Easthaven to determine when Proust was replaced by the new doctor and realized it happened a few weeks into his stay - before the Foxes began break. Meaning Neil was telling the truth. But he couldn’t be. He couldn’t have gone through whatever happened in the Nest for Andrew. People didn’t shield Andrew from tragedy; they used him to protect themselves.
Like he could hear the battle in Andrew’s head, Neil murmured, “You always have our backs – I needed to watch yours.”

Summary
When booking the car, Andrew only paid attention to the horsepower; Germany has highways with no speed limits.
By default, Germans drive stick shift. Andrew's eyes are on Neil's hand, wrapped around the stick as he navigates through the Berlin traffic.
Driving stick is nothing new for him. Andrew knows that.
He still isn't prepared for how his brain reacts to it.
Andrew discovers that he has a thing about Neil driving stick.
