Adam fidgeted uncomfortably under Kevin’s gaze. “Well, hey, if you need anything, just let me know, okay?”
Then he was gone, back at Blue and Gansey’s side before Kevin could respond. It was an unnecessarily polite offer. After all, Kevin was just some drunk asshole celebrity who hadn’t spared Adam a second glance. Kevin didn’t want to read too far into it, so he finished off the rest of his drink.

How could he jeopardise his safety like this? Their agreement doesn’t work if Neil puts himself in harms way purposely. Andrew manages to break himself out of rehab in pursuit of Neil, he just hopes it isn’t too late.

This time it's different. The entire atmosphere of the day feels off, from the moment Neil wakes Andrew up to tell him Aaron and his partners will be at theirs before midday. It starts small: Cats acting up. It ends in tragedy: Aaron dead.

Violence was in Nathaniel's bones. There was no disputing it, and there was no hiding from that fact. Nathaniel took what he was given by nuture and nature, and used it ruthlessly for what he wanted. He could hate every minute of it, as long as it kept him alive. Running had failed him. And running was not an option anymore when he had two people relying on him and eyes watching from every direction. Jean is falling apart out of the Nest. Kevin is a train wreck. The Foxes as a whole are a bunch of broken pieces that it feels like no one can put together and Nathaneil is straining under the weight of it all.
In spite of all the challenges, the first breaths of air outside the Nest make all of it seem worth it. And when Riko poses a challenge, Nathaniel is surprised to find an unlikely ally when striking a deal with Kevin's jackass of a goalie. Perhaps Neil could keep them all safe and make it out of this year alive.
