Summary
Hudson and Connor are best friends. Both are in committed relationships with other people, and they’re about to begin filming the second season of Heated Rivalry.
But a couple’s bracelet—seemingly harmless—becomes the breaking point that exposes buried tensions, jealousy, and poorly defined boundaries. Between arguments and mistakes that hurt more than either of them expects, they’re forced to face a truth they’ve been avoiding for far too long: what they feel no longer fits within the word “friendship.”
“But I know,” François continued, his voice a tone deeper than usual, “that if I grab that fucking phone right now, I’ll find missed calls, typed and deleted messages, Facetime attempts… all directed at Hudson.”
Connor clenched his jaw.

The silence became unbearable.
“And yet,” he added, “you didn’t call me.”

Summary
He wondered absently whether Connor had found someone he liked, if they had slipped him their number, maybe kissed him too. The voices from the party came back, mixing with random comments until his muffled brain couldn't differentiate them anymore. His hands ached, he just wanted to hold, have something solid, the reassurance that Connor wouldn't leave. Please come here, please hold me, please don't leave. But did he deserve it? Was he even good enough?
“D'you think I'm pretty?” And he didn’t really know what he was saying, hadn’t even known the words would come out of his mouth, but suddenly he needed to know. What did all those other people matter when he had Connor right here? If Connor thought he was good enough then surely he didn't need more than that, right? Right.
“What?”
