He would have said she shrieked, but the sound remained a whisper. Her small insignificant hands adding slight pressure as they pushed against his unmovable chest.
He was annoyed, but he didn’t want to seem too offended or disappointed. Didn’t want to scare her by letting her in on the fact of just how important this was to him.
“This is what we’re supposed to do.” He drawled. Trying to imitate nonchalance. Trying to ease the atmosphere.
Trying to act as though he wasn’t going to force his tongue down her throat one way or the other in the span of the remaining next six minutes.
