Summary
"It had seemed so clinical on paper: Amuro and Subaru fall in love and take guardianship of Edogawa Conan. Three people who didn’t exist reinvented into a perfect suburban family. In one stroke, Akai’s cover got more credibility, Rei got some much-needed backup, and Shinichi got to be himself again for the most part, with someone qualified finally watching his back. But there was nothing clinical about actually living together."
After a close call, Akai, Rei, and Shinichi take their undercover game up a level, reinventing their alternate identities into a family of convenience. And then become something a lot more irreplaceable than that.
