Hajime presses his lips into a thin line. For a moment that seems to go on for minutes, Tooru is certain that he’s furious. That’s when Iwaizumi begins to shake. The tremor starts at his mouth, then moves to his throat, then spreads across his body like a ripple on a lake, bending him over with its own force.
Tooru rushes forward, the past week—the past month—forgotten. He pulls Hajime into his chest, trying to forget that he’s drawing the man he loves closer to very thing that hurt him, except it wasn’t Oikawa’s fault, y’know, but Hajime is crying, and Hajime never cries, so all bets are fucking off, okay, and, “Hajime, Hajime, don’t cry..."

The moment of truth. “Have,” Kiyoko started under her breath. Then, she scooted closer to Tanaka without looking at his face and repeated, louder, “Have you tried putting him in rice.”
Tanaka looked at her. Somewhere in his eyes, Kiyoko could have sworn that she saw amusement. Then, his face crumpled, and he fell to his knees.
“What,” he sobbed. “What’s happening to me? Am I hallucinating? Am I dead? Kiyoko-san, before I die, I need to tell you—”
Shimizu turned and walked away. She needed to set up the court for the rest of the drills.

The women of the world are outraged. The men of the world are baffled. No one can understand why Ilya Rozanov, whose abs have their own fan club, is wasting his time on ‘a piece of cardboard that wished to be turned into a real girl’ (this particular joke has 300k likes and counting).
Or: After a social media trend mocks Shane's sexting skills, he tries to improve them. It goes about as poorly as you'd expect.

“Hollander.” Shane’s head snaps back to his left. Ilya is much closer, pace slightly hurried. “Come here.” His voice sort of mimics the way one would talk to an animal paralyzed in fight-or-flight. Shane is not sure what to make of that.
He slowly turns his head in the opposite direction, where his vision tunnels on the door for the stairwell. It almost glows like a special item in a video game, like a hint. Without giving himself time to doubt, he bolts.
“Wha- Hollander, what the fuck!” Ilya shouts in audible disbelief, and Shane distinctly hears matching thuds of frantic footsteps behind him; Ilya is chasing after him. Shane runs faster, positively sprinting at this point. He’s the fastest skater in the NHL right now. He can do this. He flings the door open and bounds down the steps two at a time, hitting the walls with each turn of a corner. If he eats shit on this filthy floor and embarrasses himself in front of Ilya, he thinks, he’ll never let himself see the light of day ever again.
or alternatively, in which Shane accidentally sends the text, and Ilya chases after him. Like, actually chases after him.
