“Valentine's Day is still a week away, and I feel like I've already received my gift.”
Those words were so absurd that Steve had to laugh. He turned his head to look at Neal.
“You’re so silly,” he said, wrinkling his face into a smile, but already starting to act playful. “And if you want to celebrate so much, we need to think of something you haven't got yet. Something new, something different.”
At that moment, a strange thought crossed his mind, something that had already been lurking in the corners of his mind, and now it was starting to take a definite shape. Steve grinned to himself and kissed Neal suddenly, which left the other man baffled, clearly trying to understand the impulse.
“You probably already have something in mind,” Neal said, raising his eyebrow, unable to hide his curiosity.
Steve didn't break eye contact while a sly smile appeared on his face.
“Yeah, I do,” he bit his lip. “I want to fuck you.”

They were all, the whole band, in some obscure costume rental store in NYC, rummaging about the place, going from one outfit to another and Richie was the only one who just couldn’t decide.
