Breath hitching in his throat, he wonders what it would feel like to run his hands through Osamu’s hair.
For a second, he indulges the thought. He imagines leaning over, and tucking a few stray strands of grey hair behind Osamu’s ear; fingers trailing down the side of his face, down to his collarbones. He imagines Osamu waking up, hooded eyes staring up at him from below and a lazy smile on his face as he hooks his fingers under Suna’s shirt and pulls him closer, a breathy laugh escaping his lips.

Summary
Pierre's a tennis player who's career is on the outs thanks to a recurrence of a now career ending injury. Charles, his childhood best friend who he's lost touch with is also tennis player, on a rise to the top while Pierre's career dwindles. They agree to reconnect at Wimbledon and a torrid romance ensues. The only problem? Pierre's keeping a big secret from Charles, the recurrence of his injury and the impending end of his career at this very tournament.
They both want the same happily ever after, but can they get around the secret that threatens to tear them apart?

Charles brings one hand up between them, stopping Pierre with two fingers against his lips. "Don't," he says – Pierre feels it more than hears it. "Don't kiss me."
"Why not?" Pierre tries to sound cool, but it still comes out as a whine. He's desperate for it, Charles must be able to feel that.
"We could live forever, if you don't kiss me. Do anything else but that."
All the times Pierre thinks about kissing Charles, and one time he's glad he never did.

“I got a call early this morning from Mercedes," his manager tells him. "Lewis is retiring at the end of this season, and they want you to take the seat.”
The words take a few seconds to register with Pierre, but when they do, he’s not quite sure what to make of them. Out of everything he had been expecting, it had never been anything like this.
Shaking his head, Pierre stutters, “I- I can’t. I’m still contracted with Red Bull for another year, no?”
“They will buy it out. They really want you in this seat, Pierre.”
Pierre has never finished anywhere higher than seventh and has only one race win to his name. But now he’s being poised for a team that fights for podiums every race weekend and collects trophies like they’re going out of style. A team with expectations he hopes he can live up to without any bias in any way or form.
He shrugs with his response, an incredulous smile in place. “I mean, it’s a Mercedes seat. Who turns down a Mercedes seat?”
