  Summary

  Javier Peña and Charlotte Alan have been a mess from the start. She's impulsive and cares too much. He's hesitant and doesn't care enough. They circle around each other for years, never fully opening their hearts to each other. After years without contact, Javi shows up back in Laredo a little more haggard and with a lot more baggage. Charlotte has faced her fair share of difficulties during that time as well.
  Timeline alternates between pre-Narcos and Post Season Two. In 1993 Javi is 35, Charlotte is 28.
