Summary
There is something wrong with Dazai Osamu, Atsushi realized, besides his obvious penchant for suicide. He didn’t realize it all at once. It had crept up on him. A slow, crawling certainty that lodged itself under his skin and refused to leave.
Atsushi had noticed the small things first. The way Dazai sometimes lost track of conversations, then rejoined them a beat too late. The way his smile didn’t quite match his eyes. The way he seemed tired in a manner sleep couldn’t fix. Sometimes he seemed distant for no reason at all, present but not entirely there.
Dazai smiled when Atsushi asked after him. His giggle was a thin, hollow sound that echoed in the air. It sounded like the start of his usual teasing except it was something rehearsed, wrong.
“Ah, Atsushi-kun,” Dazai said, lips curving faintly, though his eyes remained dull. “Didn’t you hear? I’m dying.”

"Dazai doesn't know where he is.
Well, of course that is a normal occurrence. He normally is wandering around the incredible, beautiful city of Yokohama, searching for a bridge to jump off—a perfect suicide! Usually, he does that and someone ends up saving him.
But this time it wasn't because of that, alright. To be honest, Dazai was quite certain that everything was solved—that Atsushi would catch him in time."
Or, Dazai was trying to solve a case, but he ends up as another victim... in a different world.
Or or, ADA Dazai Osamu in BEAST universe, having to deal with a BEAST PM boss Chuuya that recently lost his Dazai and is barely holding it together. When he sees ADA Dazai, he completely loses it.

In learning how to feel happiness, Dazai gets the chance to finally live the childhood he never got to have. Maybe there is no greater meaning to life, but that’s something he has to figure out for himself. This is a story of healing, learning to love, and acceptance, in every sense of the words.
Inspired by all the “de-aging” fics out there that use time travel to deal with the trauma these kids went through (which I absolutely adore!) Time moves forward, and they can’t change the past, but it’s never too late to start to heal.

Fyodor (or the motherfucking rat bastard as Chuuya calls him behind Dazai’s back) being a preppy economics student with greasy hair and a creepy smile, a weird group of friends who all worship the fucking ground he walks on, and not a single genuine bone in his stupidly tall body.
And Dazai’s boyfriend of three years, somehow.
Safe to say, Chuuya doesn’t really like Fyodor very much.
Now - does Chuuya, in part, hate Fyodor because he’s been in love with Dazai for God knows how long? Kind of - but it’s still a relatively small part of the whole equation.
/ or: dazai gets cheated on, chuuya deals with the fallout, and it all works out in the end
